About Snack Nut Free
Our Story
Living with both a peanut allergy and a tree nut allergy, I have always found it difficult to find safe snacks in grocery stores. Reading every label, second-guessing every ingredient list, and navigating "may contain" warnings is exhausting — especially when you're shopping for school-safe snacks for a child with allergies.
I created Snack Nut Free to be the resource I always wished existed: a single, searchable catalog of products that are confirmed peanut-free and tree nut-free, with direct links to buy them on Amazon and Walmart. Whether you have allergies yourself, or you're a parent looking for safe options for your child's school lunchbox, this site is built for you.
How Products Are Vetted
Every product listed on Snack Nut Free has been reviewed against the following criteria:
- The product label does not list peanuts or tree nuts as an ingredient.
- The label does not carry a "may contain peanuts," "may contain tree nuts," or "manufactured in a facility with peanuts/tree nuts" advisory.
- Information is sourced from product packaging, manufacturer websites, and major online retailers.
Manufacturers change formulations. We do our best to keep the catalog up to date and monitor for product recalls, but always verify the current label before purchasing — especially for severe or anaphylactic allergies. See our full Allergen Statement for more detail.
How to Use This Site
- Browse or search — use the category and brand menus on the left, or the search bar at the top, to find snacks by type or brand.
- Read the product details — each product page shows allergen status, a description, ingredients list, and UPC code.
- Buy directly — click the Amazon or Walmart button to purchase the product from that retailer. We earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Report issues — if you spot a broken link or outdated allergen information, use the report button on any product page or contact us directly.
